Michelle Shewbridge

My name is Michelle Shewbridge.  I live in Aberdeen, Maryland with my husband Chris and our daughters, Taylor (9) and Rachel (5).  Taylor plays soccer and basketball, while Rachel is into cheerleading and gymnastics. Together we love to bike, go to the movies and just hang out! Usually, Friday nights are “family night” where the girls get to pick a meal they can make (almost) themselves!

Rachel was diagnosed in May ’04 with JDM.  What I remember most after her diagnosis is being extremely scared and not knowing where to turn. I had so many questions and no answers. Finding the support network at Cure JM was a lifesaver. I hope to help other families by sharing my experience and providing support to help them deal with this journey. You are not alone. We’re all in this together.
